Clean Plate Society, founded in 2016 in Berlin, is a collective fostering cultural diversity through the universal language of food. Co-founders Leïla and Mémona Boutaam, rooted in Berlin Neukölln, initiate immersive events that promote inter-communal relationships such as the Ramadan Food Festival. Adrien Rouchaleou, based in Marseille, explores liberating expressions through participatory forms, emphasising sound creation in public spaces. Together they brings storytelling and auditory exploration to the forefront.

Leila Boutaam

Leïla Boutaam, an ethnologist and food journalist, passionately explores the intersections of migration, identity, and cuisine through various media formats. She co-founded the Clean Plate Society with her sister Mémona. They initiated cultural events like the Ramadan Food Festival and Gastrollywood. Leïla, deeply rooted in Berlin Neukölln, has spent years contributing to the local cultural scene inside and outside the kitchen.
